This page lists everything Live Pod stores in your browser. It is a short list, and we have written out each item rather than describing them in general terms, so you can see exactly what is there.
“Cookies” in this policy covers cookies and the similar browser storage that websites use (local storage). The rules are the same for both.
1. Things we need to store
These are set without asking, because the site cannot do what you asked it to do without them.
- Your sign-in session. A cookie set after you log in, so the app knows it is you on the next page. Members only. It is removed when you log out.
- Your cookie choice. A note of whether you said yes or no below. Without it we would have to ask you again on every page.
2. Things we ask about first
These only happen on our public pages, and only if you choose “Allow” on the banner. If you say no, they are never set, and anything already stored from a previous yes is deleted.
- Which link brought you here. If you arrive from an ad, an email or a social post, the link often carries a tag saying where it came from. We keep that tag, plus the site you came from and the page you landed on. If you later sign up for something, it is attached to your record so we know which of our own efforts actually worked. It is not shared with anyone, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
- A note that you have already been counted today. We count how many browsers visited a page each day, so we can tell whether a page is working. The count is a total and nothing else: no name, no address, no identifier, nothing that could be traced back to a person. This note simply stops one visit being counted twice.
- Meta (Facebook) advertising. The Meta pixel, which records which of these pages you looked at and whether you registered or booked. We use it to see which of our ads are working, and to show our ads to people who visited without signing up — so you may see our advertising on Facebook or Instagram afterwards. If you register or pay we also send Meta a scrambled copy of your email address, which it can match against its own accounts but cannot read. Meta’s cookies are covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
3. What we do not do
None of section 2 runs inside Live Pod itself — once you are logged in, what you do in the app is never shared with an advertiser. We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not sell your data.
4. Changing your mind
Use the button below and the banner comes back so you can change your answer. Choosing “No thanks” also clears anything that was stored while you were saying yes.
You can also clear cookies and site data for livepod.io in your browser settings at any time, which removes everything on this page including your sign-in session.
5. Email
This page is about our website. Our marketing emails record whether a message was opened and whether a link in it was clicked, which is handled by our email provider. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops both the emails and that recording. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
